Should parents decide on a future career of their children

Nowadays it is not an easy thing to choose a future profession as there are thousands of kinds of jobs. And sometimes other people's advice makes it even harder. Some people think that young people's choice of a future career should satisfy their parents. At the same time, others consider that parents' satisfaction with their children's choice is not very important. Who is right? In this essay I will try to express my point of view on this issue.

I agree with the point of view that it is not necessary for young people to please their parents with their job. First of all, if parents want their children to be confident and independent, it will be better to put responsibility for this choice on young people. Children should understand that this is what their future life depends on and learn to make a thoughtful choice considering their interests, abilities and desires.

Also people who always have everything done for them become passive, they do not show interest in anything and expect to get all the job done for them. Secondly, people are more likely to achive success when they enjoy their job and the fact that they chose the profession themselves makes it even more delightful. What is more, parents who decide on the profession for their children are the ones to be blamed for their child's failures.

Nevertheless, we can find a contrary opinion. There are some people who are convinced that parents should be pleased with their children's job. They say that parents are experienced, they know the life better and they wish the best for their children.

However, I cannot agree with this opinion completely because sometimes parents want to make their own dreams come true. Поступаете в 2019 году?
