Modern inventions create new problems

Scientific inventions... There are different points of view on this matter. Some people say there is nothing bad in using such things whereas others believe that it is better to use older devices and that newer ones should be treated with distrust.

As far as I am concerned, scientific inventions are really essential now. To begin with, all inventions are the outcome of social progress so there is no actual reason to struggle against human nature. Moreover, almost everything nowadays operates on electricity which also is an invention of that kind. In addition, mobile phones, music players, fridges etc have become a part of our lives especially for adolescents.

In contrast, there is an opinion that it is not completely safe to use these devices in our everyday lives as there is a chance for the newest inventions to break and then to cause irreparable damage to their users.

Then, such people also admit that it can be difficult for aged people to use some inventions like computers, for example.

In fact, I cannot agree with them because science does not stand still. Inventors keep improving their devices so soon they will be even safer than now. Actually, even such optical devices like glasses are the ones of scientific inventions and this is only the tip of the iceberg.

In conclusion, I would like to state that scientific inventions are a part of our lives since almost everything we use now from headphones to washing machines is a scientific achievement.
